The work shows a woman making a poisoned feast for her partner. The man’s costume was created as an extension of the house’s scenery, with fabrics that recall characteristic elements of a home, such as tapestries and curtains. The woman’s costume presents a delicacy, brought by the lace in a way that goes from delicate to grotesque, as the layers of fabric overlap in a disorderly way, like a species of bride in decomposition.
